McKenzie's Baby Shower

We had a fun baby shower for McKenzie on Friday, April 10, in the multi-purpose room at church. Anna and I had fun planning the decorations and decorating the room in pink, pink, and more pink! Nate's parents were in town for the baby blessing of one of their grandchildren, so Nancy was also able to attend the shower, along with 3 of her girls and some of their extended family. Grandma Young, Aunt Dorothy, and Aunt Phyllis were also able to come, along with Phyllis' daughter, Jaqui, and Jaqui's three children. McKenzie's "old" Young Women leaders and some of my friends came, as did McKenzie's best friend, Sommer Anderson. It was awesome to have so many friends and family come to help McKenzie celebrate! Now we await the arrival of another beautiful baby girl!

While we were at the shower, Brig, Caleb, Phyllis' husband, Brent, Nate, Nate's dad, and some of Nate's friends all went to eat at Rodizio Grill. Rodizio's has turned into a family tradition when Nate and Kenzie are here -- and the boys really love that tradition! Then, on Saturday evening, Nate's family invited all of us down to Provo to go out to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. We really enjoyed getting together with all of them, and seeing Nate's mission companion, "Fa," again. We had fun watching Fa do 2 Tongan dances for everyone as we were leaving the restaurant.

After The Old Spaghetti Factory, we did Easter baskets, and then it was time for Brig to take McKenzie and Nate to the airport. It was a fast trip, but we're so glad they came out so that we could be part of the baby shower and baby preparations. 'Can't wait to see another little McKenzie in a few months!!!

  2. Your and Anna should start a business as "Shower Planners"! The church looked so beautiful! Thanks a million for doing all the work so that we could enjoy the shower. It was delightful. What a lucky little girl to get two such fabulous grandmas!! Can't wait to see you out here in a couple of months.
